The New Mexico Children, Youth, and Families, Department, Behavioral Health Services, in collaboration with Human Services Department Behavioral Health Division, is sponsoring numerous three-day training opportunities as part of their statewide initiative to help organizations implement, and practice inclusive, equitable, resilience-based, trauma-responsive services for everyone.
This FREE foundational course is based on the document, Everyone Can Be Trauma-Informed, by Joann Schladale, MS, LMFT, the developer of Practice Self-Regulation™ and will be provided by national trainers from Practice Self-Regulation™, A Trauma-Informed Approach for Health and Well-Being.
WHO SHOULD ATTEND?
- Organizational leadership and grassroots leaders including behavioral health and medical providers, school administrators, and staff who support New Mexico’s children and families.
LEARNING OBJECTIVES
By the end of this training participants will be able to:
- Understand the vital roles that engagement, compassion, equity, and inclusion play in effective service delivery
- Identify a clearly defined and structured resilience-based, trauma-informed approach for effective intervention
- Facilitate user-friendly neuroscience-based activities that promote health and well-being

CONTINUING EDUCATION
- CYFD has applied for continuing education for social workers and nurses to be offered. Counselors can obtain credit utilizing the social worker certificate.
