Important Update: NM Peer-to-Peer Warmline
The NM Peer-to-Peer Warmline, a service of the New Mexico Crisis and Access Line (NMCAL) operated by Protocall Services, remains committed to providing compassionate peer support to New Mexicans across the state.  Due to a significant funding reduction effective July 1, 2026, callers and texters may experience reduced service hours and longer wait times.
For more than 10 years, the Warmline has provided support, connection, and hope through trained Certified Peer Support Workers (CPSWs) with lived experience in mental health, substance use recovery, caregiving, and other life challenges. Demand for these services remains strong, with more than 4,000 calls and texts answered each month across New Mexico.
We remain committed to ensuring access to peer support and are actively working with state and community partners to identify sustainable solutions that preserve these important services for New Mexicans.
